María Iglesias Redondo

María Iglesias was born on January 9th, 1993 in a small neighborhood in Seville. Since she was child she has been interested in education and eager to help others. In class she used to pay special attention to and sympathize with less advantaged peers.

In 2011 she enrolled in a Degree in Pedagogy at University of Seville, combining it with volunteering at the Mornese Foundation in Sor Eusebia Center for Training and Socio-educational Attention. That year, she also discovered what would be her field of research in the future: Gender Studies. After completing the degree, María is currently completing her training in the Master's Degree in Gender Studies and Professional Development at the same university and she belongs to the interdisciplinary research group, “Female writers and Writings”, in which she researches on Gender and Non-Formal Education.
 
Being part of the Paideia Association for less than a year, she has participated actively and she believes in the opportunities this group offers. She declares herself against any kind of inequality and she directs her work in the Association by expanding opportunities for the most disadvantaged people.
